This guy gets 3 tickets and one of the ones did not ring up on time, the cashier asked him if he wanted to keep it or throw it away. The man said I will keep it. Later, the man who bought the ticket comes back and says that he won but it was 7 seconds too late. This guy is trying to sue the lottery guy saying he owes him 13.5 million because there was a 10-12 second transmission delay on the ticket. Loto-Quebec  wont speak on this case. I would not speak either because this is a ridiculous case, and the guy should just realize he could of won, but he didn’t and thats that!

Ocho Cinco

For now, Bengals’ Johnson can’t wear Ocho Cinco

Chad Johnson, famously known for his wild showboating has now legally changed his last name to Ocho Cinco. He has requested for his jersey to be changed from Johnson to Ocho Cinco. As of now the league is still saying there are issues in the way before they can put Ocho Cinco on the back of his jersey. I am all for the showboating and crazy antics. But as far as going and changing your name to your jersey number and requesting for all the jerseys to be changed, is taking it a little overboard. I always thought that he flirted with the line between having fun playing the game and showing off a little too much.

Drinking Juice in Public?

Russian woman put on trial in Dubai for drinking juice in public

http://english.pravda.ru/society/stories/23-09-2008/106429-dubai-0

A russian woman was put on trial because she drank juice in public and this was against the muslim custom. They told the judge that they are not muslim and he/she had to mercy. The judge found them quilty and ended up paying $278. Supposively this is Article 313 in Dubai, and this is the first case against it. I think this is bullcrap because she was visiting Dubai as a tourist and got arrested for the muslim custom. I mean come on fasting? this is a muslim way of life not a russian one? Why would some girl that is obviously paying money to visit Dubai get put on trial for this?

86 Wives

Man arrested for having 86 wives, as if that wasn’t punishment enough

When I saw this news headline I was interesed in how this man got away with this. If my husband had 86 wives, don’t you think I would know? or even think that this was ridiculous and divorce the guy. I mean come on now, maybe there is some wierd people who can actually accept one other wife? but 86? Wow, that is just freakin’ nuts. In Nigeria this is obviously illegal, and how about the fact that he has 120 kids? Here is two direct quotes from the man who mastered this bizarre and awkward crime:

Masaba says God enables him to maintain such a large family.

“A man with 10 wives would collapse and die, but my own power is given by Allah. That is why I have been able to control 86 of them,” he has been quoted as saying in Nigeria’s local media.

What a Small World

My news opinion of the week is “Iron Mountain man suspected of stabbing a man during a bar fight at the Saloon #2.”

http://ironmountaindailynews.com/page/content.detail/id/503177.html?nav=5002

I relate to this article, because I live in Iron Mountain and I actually know of this person and the person that got stabbed. It has affected a couple of my friends, and is a very big deal. The suspect is facing a $500,000 cash bond and is scheduled for another appearance in court. I believe that this is fair because the victim in this horrific ordeal is dead. Anything that leads to death should have an appropriate consequence. Death not only affects the person involved, but the family members of both sides. There is never ONE side to any of these stories; you cannot put blame on just one person in the story. Hopefully this Iron Mountain man gets what he deserves, and only that. Otherwise, I truly believe in karma.
