Compare and Contrast

Have you ever looked in the mirror and wondered how it would be like to have a twin? Well I have a twin and it is more interesting than you think.  Nicole, my twin sister, and I may look alike and share some similarities, but we are actually very different.

Being twins, my sister and I are obviously going to be alike in many ways. The most obvious similarity we share is our appearance. We both naturally have dishwater blonde hair and dark eyebrows.  Another quality we share is both of us have maintained petite figures, we both have our mother’s eyes, and semi-large noses. Nicole and I also share certain personality traits, such as we share the same kind of sense of humor. Now, I would not go as far as saying we are both cry babies, but both of us can get a little too emotional from time to time. Our friends would say that we both always have smiles on our faces and can get a little too hyper for our own good. Don’t let the smiles fool you because we also similarly speak our minds and are not afraid to tell you if something is bothering us. Some general similarities that we share are we have the same laugh and both have boyfriends.  Being a twin, you have to share everything like clothes, cars, money, and friends.  So, now you have learned that we not only look alike but we act alike too.

With similarities come differences. Nicole and I are actually unique from one another in our own ways. For example, in our appearance she has a ski jump shaped nose and mine is wider. Another variation is Nicole recently got her eyebrow pierced and I don’t have any piercings on my face.  There are many other different ways to tell us apart like hair length, the way we dress, the shape of our heads, and the shape of our eyes. If you met me and Nicole at a party our separate personalities would shine through. I am the loudest of the twins, and am a little more outgoing than she is. She tends to be a little quiet around people she does not know. I would not go as far as saying that she is quiet, but just quieter than me. Don’t get on Nicole’s bad side because she is definitely moodier than me also. Some general distinctions between my sister and I is I bite my nails and she has long, gorgeous nails. Naturally we share the same hair color, but Nicole also recently died her hair purple-ish.  I am very proud to say that I have two tattoos and Nicole has zero. She is very jealous, and I do not forget to remind her of this every day. Don’t automatically think just because we share looks that we act and think alike because we are actually two very different people.

Mrs. Keuhln, you include that you need to incorporate one outside source, but I did not need any outside information to compare my sister and I, so I did not know what you wanted me to do?
